Mas Village

Mas Village is an attractiveness of Gianyar Regency and well known as art place. This place can give a different sensation to our daily activities. It is very famous for its result of the carvings.

When you are travelling to this village, the characteristics are already visible, entering this area has felt the village be a center of wood carving, along the road lined with art shops displaying artwork by the villagers. Even though you don't have a plan to visit here, if you are interested you can stop by for a while to just look around.

The location is very strategic, namely on the tourist route, Ubud district, Gianyar Regency, Bali. Approximately 20 km from Denpasar direction.

The popularity of this village is indeed reasonable as an art village, the results of the craft of wooden sculptures in Mas Village are very diverse such as the statues which its process through a sacralization ceremony can be interpreted as symbolic of sacred objects that have magical powers, and are often used as holy place of manifestation of the gods.
